when your ancestors are from West Flanders in Belgium, maybe I can help you to search them back because I'm from West Flanders myself and it's very easy for me to look up in aswell the civil registers (1796 - 1900) or the parish registers (beginning 17° century - 1796) for the complete region.
I know how difficult it is for you to do the necessary researches and maybe you don't have the time to do this genealogical investigation yourself, therefore I'm willing to help you out for a reasonable compensation.

Let me already tell you what you may expect from me when you hire me :
In a normal procedure, the first time you hire me, I will do researches for you during four (4) entire hours. Not much you might think right now. Remember this : I have to go to only one place where I can consult all the registers on microfilm from the entire region of West Flanders. So I don't loose time travelling from one place to another ! And I'm doing genealogical researches since about 20 years what gives me a lot of experience. Under the option genealogy you will find my own genealogy that goes back till the years 1400 and many other genealogies.
The results of this four hours will I work out in a text-file that gives a clear overview of what I have found.
Copies of the most important certificates (to prove the descent) will be included with the complete original text typed out AND with the translation !
Normally I will divide a session of four hours in two and after the first lookup you will already receive the first results.
How much I will find in those four hours is impossible to say because that depends completely on what you want yourself.
I can't promise you how far I will get back in time but finding your ancestors till the early 1700's won't be problem let's say in 95 %. Going back till the early 1600's is also possible in some cases. Of course, this depends completely of the number of hours you hire me.
