FIRST GENERATION


1. Linda Mae HUNTINGTON was born in Toronto, Ontario. She was christened in West Hill, Ontario. Linda grew up in West Hill, just east of Toronto. Her interests, as a child were swimming and diving and skating. She attended Heron Park Public School and West Hill CI. She belonged to Girl Guides of Canada, CGIT, and the LOBA, Highland Star. Linda loves to dance and her brother Earl taught her how. Linda enjoyed visiting her older brothers, being the youngest they often spoiled her. As a child she went to the Manitoulin Island with her mother & visited with family there.

She worked at Quality Records Ltd. and it was there that James and Linda met.They were married, bought their first house and started having children. Jason and Renee were born in Scarborough. She also worked at Columbia Records and drove a school bus for handicapped children. They moved to Golden BC, in 1979. Their children went to school there. She went back to school in 1985 at Golden, BC and was trained in Industrial First Aid. She continued with her education, got her grade 12 and went to college for Office Administration. She Majored in Data Pro, Word Pro, and Typing and was on the Dean's List. They had a hobby farm and had poultry and horses and also a dog kennel raising Finnish Spitz dogs. She is also a Bookkeeper and started the books for companies in the Revelstoke area. She also does a lot of crafting including painting, stained glass pottery and woodworking. She has done sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, ribbon and floss, and needlepoint
