Distance

To grasp out for a hand that

Is not there, out of reach,

Unable to feel the touch

Of the one you love - distance.

Lonely days and nights

A time apart, too much to bear

Time is nothing - time goes on

Time is just - distance.

The voice you long to hear

The face you long to see

The love you would hold

In your arms , but for - distance.

 

Distance can break a heart

But time heals, time goes quickly

To be with the person you love

Nothing can stop that - not even distance.
