Here we are again. A new year, a new layout. Let's see if this works out as well as I hope it will. This is my first attempt at tables, so bear with me.
Right. So, I haven't been up to much lately. Planning, really. I've realized that my break has gone by really fast, and all the wonderful things I had planned on doing (silkscreening with Jess and Ni, finishing the blouses I started in the spring, watching five hours of Pride and Predjudice with Lara, managing to see Claire for more than twelve minutes) are all pretty much impossible to achieve now. I have one day left of my break. Tomorrow. I have to do as much as possible in a very short amount of time. Since when have holidays been so much work?
I mean, honestly! Yesterday, for example, was fun in principle, but it was so busy and so confusing that I spent the whole time grinding my teeth and saying to myself "must enjoy self." The story? Well, let's just say that I spent the whole day with Ni, Jess and Meg getting things for our silkscreening project, but we never got around to doing it because I had to rush back to Mississauga to see the Harry Potter movie for a third time with my aunt and uncle, and as a result, I didn't get to properly enjoy either outing. I tell you, people, driving and responsibility sucks.
So anyway, I'm at my dad's office today, writing letters for the same lawyer as last week. This sucks. But, as I said before, money is involved, so I really shouldn't complain. Plus, I bet you hate hearing about things like this. So.
Here's a little ethics question for you all: let's say you're working for a lawyer (you know, hypothetically), and you're typing out his letters which he has dictated to you on a tape. What do you do if you find that he is using the word "advise" too often, and rarely in a correct manner? Is it better to type out what he has dictated, or to correct his wording, thus changing what he is saying slightly? Maybe I should sumit this to the Globe and Mail. They always come up with good answers to ethical questions.
Meh. Whatever.
I'm going home now. Tell me if you think this layout sucks.
