Riiight. Sorry about yesterday. I wasn't actually sick at all. I was just being social. So. Let's recap the past few nights.
Friday, as I said before, I went out with Chel and a few of her floormates: Amanda, Pia, Marc, Tali and Tali's friend from home Sophia. The Nog was pretty full, and there was a great wannabe-celtic band playing a bunch of Irish and East Coast songs all night. The second we got in there, Chel started dancing in front of the band like a mad fool, but the rest of us only joined in after having a few drinks. Amanda wasn't dancing or drinking for some reason, so I stood beside her for a bit, while some drunken 30-year old kept telling me to get on the floor and dance. I kept making stupid jokes for Amanda's benefit about how the band were a bunch of posers, how they weren't from the East Coast, how their accents were made up just for this gig. This went on for a while until I exclaimed, "They're probably from Hamilton, for chrissake!" and she yelled back, "I'm from Hamilton!" That's when I decided I was drunk enough to dance. Later in the evening, the same icky 30-year old from before started dancing a jig with Tali's friend Sophia, and later we found them in a corner of a bar. This was pretty creepy, since she's still in high school and all. So we dragged her away, and then made evil eyes at the icky old man and his friend. Chel was dancing with a bunch of older guys, who threw her up on stage when the band called a girl named Stacy up to celebrate her birthday. She was all embarased, and kept telling the guitarist that she wasn't Stacy, but no one really cared at that point. The highlight of the night, though, was when a guy I'd been calling "Sideburns" (for obvious reasons) started dancing with me. Amanda later told me that Chel had been calling him "White Cowboy Boots" (for similarly obvious reasons). So that was a funny little coincidence. On the walk home, Chel, Amanda and I debated about who the girl he was with might have been. We were torn between girlfriend, or friend-who-likes-him-a-bunch, enough-to-grab-his-ass-while-drunk, but-not-an-actual-girlfriend. We also tended to Sophia, and to Tali (who seems to have a gift for getting plastered really quickly), and tried to set Pia up with Marc. This is what we do for fun.
Yesterday, I had breakfast with Amanda and Chel at about 11, then we split up to do work, then got back together at 3 to go to Princess Street. Chel made up go to McDonald's, then we walked up and down the street window shopping. Amanda tried tried to find a black tank top for her dance recital, Chel looked at skirt for her summer job, and I played with the Playmobile pirate ship in the toy store. Then we had dinner at Ban Reigh at 6 (where we saw Geoff dressed up all fancy, and refused to sit with the bastard), ran back to Princess to see Men With Brooms - which, by the way, was absolutely amazing, and had a fantastic soundtrack - then back to Morris. There, Chel played with her makeup for a while and I had a nap and we lost Amanda for half an hour, and then we all went out again. Chel wanted to check out The Toucan, which she'd "heard great things about", but hadn't actually met anyone who'd been there. So we checked it out, realized that everyone in there was at least 25 and that there were no tables, then left and joined the long line outside the Tir Nan Og, where we waited to get inside for about 45 minutes. By this time, it was 12:20, and already officially St. Paddy's Day, so we went in, danced like idiots to the same band as the night before, then took a cab home.
Today, I got up at 10, showered, then ran to the JDUC to tell my Film group that Geoff would be late, and that we should meet at 1 instead. Then I had breakfast, talked to Ni a bit on the phone, then met with them again. We kidnapped Tiff, Kat and Chris from Morris Ground, filmed our project, and split up. And now I'm here, killing time, before going out with Chel and Amanda for the third night running. Does anyone else think that Chelsea's a bad influence on me?
Actually, the real question is, do I wear green or not?
