A brief (uh, I mean detailed) run-down of my weekend, before I pass out:

Friday
I lounged for most of the day, as I said before until Caitlin called and asked me to come for a ride with her. I turned her down, had a shower and went to check my mail. Then Caity and Georges showed up at my front door. I felt like a total dork (as usual) because my hair was wet and I wasn't wearing a sweater. I feel naked without a sweater. But I went out to her car and ate one of the Krispy Kreme donuts she'd spent an hour in the drive-through waiting to get (the only Krispy Kreme in Canada is only a few minutes away from my house, and there's always a huge line-up), then they came in and we talked a bit. Then they left, and I went to fix my now curly hair. Then Lara came by at about 7, we drove to Roger's Video and met with Alex Sorin, chose two videos (my choice: Ghost World; Alex's choice: Head Over Heels), bought snakies at Mac's, then went back to Lara's. Len, Joanna, Geoff and Brendan showed up relatively soon after, Caity made a brief appearance (to give us some donuts), and Chel turned up a little after we started Ghost World. But everyone soon got sick of my movie (as could have been predicted), so we watched Head Over Heels. I really hate that Freddy Prinze Jr kid...

Saturday
Woke up around 7. I went to get my hair cut an inch and a half shorter. Apparently, it isn't the hairstylists that have a problem with lengths, it's me. I can't tell how long or how short things are, which is why my haircuts always turn out too short, and I always look like a freakish ten year old afterward. Next time I tell you I'm getting a haircut, could you please write 3/4'' in black ink on my hand or forehead? Would you? Thanks. That'll help me a whole lot. Then, I went down to Bay Subway Station to meet Ni at the Big Rock on Cumberland Street. Our goal was to buy me jeans and shoes, and to find her a peasant skirt. We went to Over The Rainbow, fawned over the pretty things, and eventually I bought a pair of Diesel jeans and Ni bought a really cute flowery t-shirt. Problems with my jeans, though: firstly, they are those freaky-weird low cut jeans. The ones that don't come to your waist, but your hips. This makes me think that my pants are falling off. It is annoying. Secondly, I now think they may be the same as Chel's jeans in a different wash. This is also annoying, as it suggests that I do, indeed, own most of the same clothes as Chel, and makes me puzzle over whether this is a coincidence or whether I am doing it subconsciously. Let's not think about that right now, though. After Over The Rainbow, we went to Urban Outfitter's to look for a skirt for Ni. Unfortunately, said skirt was hiddeous, so we bought t-shirts instead. Ni bought a cute little pink tee with arty birds on it, and I bought a green t-shirt and a red and beige shirt. Very nice. Next, we walked to the Art Gallery to see the Yoko Ono exhibit. We had planned to see a movie originally, but Ni freaked over the idea of seeing Yoko's stuff, and it was cheaper and took up less of our precious shopping time. So we went, we saw, we gawked at talking bums and hypothetical paintings, we even put a few drops of water on a sponge. Fun was had. Then we went to Queen Street West, and tried to find me shoes. I had been thinking about Converse sneakers for a while, so we went to Groovy. Unfortunately, I hadn't accounted for the fact that Converse sneakers are boy sneakers, so when I put them on, I looked like a clown. We did not buy me shoes. Then, we walked along King Street to MEC, and bought Ni a very nice new backpack. By this time, we were absolutely exhausted, so we took the subway back to Kipling, met my dad, and went to my house for dinner. Salmon, potatos, salad and birthday cake. Yummy... Ni and I then watched the most recent episode of Buffy, and Ni made Meaghan teach her how to play The Sims while I played in my mummy's fabric. Eventually, I got curious, so I went to play too, and we ended up trying to make our two housemates fall in love so they would sleep together. Heh. It was fun. We had to quit after they started dreaming about each other, though, because it was after midnight and I had to drive Ni home. Ah, well. Next time.

Sunday
Woke up around 4, went back to sleep, woke up around 8, went back to sleep, got up at 9. Had a pancake breakfast. Then sat on the couch while Meaghan went berserk looking for Easter eggs. Silly little sister. Then, I fell asleep on my mum's shoulder for two hours. Then I went with my dad to find a grocery store that was open so we could get potatoes for making stovies. Then we made stovies, I watched The Pack, Nightmares and Profecy Girl, and we all watched Shrek. Then I went to the bus, sat in a cramped seat beside Geoff for three hours, and unpacked my stuff once I got back to res. And then I wrote an entry.

Thinking:
I cut my hair too short. Now I look like a dork. Oh, drat.
