A nerve in my neck just snapped. I think it had been tense since last night. It was a great relief to have it snap like that. Mmm...
We arrived at the Warehouse around 7ish, stood in line for an hour talking about cute kids in front and behind us, saying hi to Lauren, bitching about the cold, eating M&Ms, comparing wardrobes, etc. etc. etc. Then the doors opened, we checked our coats for $2 (when I really should have kept it, as that is tremendously overpriced for renting a hanger for three hours, fergodssake, plus I'm dirt poor), bought swag, and claimed spots in front of the sound booth. But the end of the opener's set (The Aisler Set, the "s" of which I pronounced the first time I saw it), which was nice ctuff but would have been more effective on a CD, we decided that the booth was crappy real estate, so we pushed our way to the front. This is when my neck started hurting, as we decided to stand behind two very tall men, and Chel, Ni and I had to wedge ourselves between them, causing me to have to crain my neck to either side to see anything. But it was very much worth it. The lights were fantastic, Stuart had great stage presence, and I am in love with Stevie. No, really. He was awesome, he wore a suit like the Beatles did in A Hard Day's Night, and he played the harmonica. What more could a girl ask for? I'm not sure Ni saw much after the first few songs (as I said, two tall guys, very tiny Ni) but all three of us declared it to be an amazing show, we danced throughout, and we couldn't stop talking about it on the way home.
So today I am very tired. I think I may even have a nap on my dad's desk after lunch. That would be nice.
