So I'm in Fantasy class, and we're talking about how to approach one of the essay options for end of term. The jist of it is that we can compare fantastic elements in one of our studied texts with something from another media, ie: movie, television show, comic book, etc. Basically, my class is full of sci-fi nerds and girls who refused to take the fucking feminist class offered in the same time slot. Hence all the geekage. So we're yelling out examples of things we could use for the essay, and some girl yells out "Buffy." The second that pops out of her mouth, the girl sitting in front of her whips her head around and they both start chittering away about what's happening this season. Which is just so typical of Buffy fans, and I could not stop myself from giggling for a full five minutes. 'Cause you know that if I'd been the one sitting in front I would have done the exact same thing.

In older news, the reason I didn't write for two weeks (before last entry, of course) is that I think I may have accidentally received a virus in an email, which caused my Internet Explorer to crash the iBook every time I tried to open the application. But I fixed it (obviously), so now everything works again. The only downside is that I seem to have lost all of my bookmarks (which is what happens when you go through your whole computer and erase all files related to IE), so I'm finding myself with very little to read for fun. I had all these great blogs bookmarked, and I can't remember what any of them were called. Thankfully, I'd recently updated my shop page, so I can still pine over things that I can't buy. Actually, I'm not really sure that's a good thing any more...

Besides that, nothing much is going on here. Tad called me last night in a panic and we figured out that he somehow managed to initialize his hard drive in the middle of writing an essay. That was no good. And Lara called the other day to say she might drop by on Sunday night on her way back from Montréal, which is cool since I haven't seen in her an age. And I called Ni the other day, but she was watching a movie, and she still hasn't called me back. Oh, and I'm going to see Danny Michel on Saturday. Joy! Right now, however, I have to start working on one of the two essays due next week. What I really want to do, though, is curl up in my bed again and read a nice novel. Stupid essays...
