Saturday, February 1st, 2003The thaw has started here in Kingston, I couldn't possibly be more relieved. Why? Well, as you might recall, I'm worried about the roof over the addition to the kitchen. Luckily, it's not covered in water anymore. But I fear it will soon be, and the sooner it's covered, the sooner it can evaporate and the sooner I can breathe more easily. The current view from my window:
 Yes. Not only do I get to fret about the weight of the snow, but I also have to deal with the icicles slowly taking over the whole window. It wouldn't bother me so much if I hadn't witnessed the neighbors' gutter fall off their roof. But, there you go. I'm worried, and the icicles are pretty but scary. In an unrelated story, I've been hiding upstairs all day due to the plethora of people in my house. Right now, Marta's friends are in the kitchen playing drinking games. I'm terrified to go down. But I have to. It's tea time. I need my tea. Okay, getting up my courage, pepping myself up, going to make tea. And possibly talk. Oh dear... Also, how cute am I?
