Reading: Troilus and Cressida |
Monday, April 7th, 2003Funny how, in one weekend, I can see all the people I love most and do all the things I like best. Friday: movie with Jessa. Dreamcatcher. Thought it would be funny and silly. Was actually scary and gross and kind of ridiculous. Clung to Jessa during the scary parts, we screamed like girls, bit her thumb by accident in an especially creepy part. Very sorry. Saturday: two hours shoveling snow with the family. Elmira Maple Syrop Festival. Ate apple fritters and summer saussage, which I'd been craving for weeks. Evening spent as a family at the AMC. Parents saw Bowling For Columbine, Meaghan and I saw Bend It Like Beckham. Wicked fun. Sunday: morning spent lounging. Afternoon and evening spent with Lara and Caitlin. Amazing knitting store, PreLoved, Urban Outfitters. Dinner at BCE Place Marché. Chicken schnitzel with rosti, banana/peach/strawberry crèpe and mango daquiri. Happy tummy, happy Emily. Good friends, good fun, good weekend. Bus home, aisle seat, boy beside me snored the whole way. Pleasantly tipsy, so didn't mind. Walk home. Hello to V. Fell asleep early. Really, if I'd only seen one person more, I think I really could have seen absolutely everyone I cared most about in the world. That's at once comforting and very disconcerting, as it suggests that I love very few people. I suppose that's for the best, really. Can't care for too many people at once, now, can I? Anyway, my first exam is Friday, then I have another Saturday, and another Monday. But they're all literature classes, so there'e not much I can do as prep work. It'll be fine, I'm sure. I can so do this. Then, there's just the matter of my history exams before I get to go home again and see all my favourite people. I miss them already.
