Today&Future Forecast Summary

9:10 PM: Temp 47F, DP 17F, RH 30%, 1023.3 mb, calm, vis 10 mi, 15% CRS, none

A strong front stretched across the middle of the nation today. Severe storms moved across northern Texas, eastern Ok, and easter Ks this morning. Then clouds prevented any afternoon heating across MS, AK, and MO this afternoon that would have led to more severe weather. Instead, a good soaking rain covered a broad area from the Gulf of Mexico to Southern Canada. This system will track Northeast across the great lakes and swing a frong across the East Coast. Some severe weather is again possible across the SE states tommorrow afternoon if sufficient heating occurs. Farther north, rains and warm air will move in later in the day. Here in the Delaware Valley, welcome rain will arrive later in the day, in time for rush hour, and continue until just after midnight. Surprisingly, after the front moves through Wednesday night, Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with highs around 60. After that, seasonable air will return. Another weak system may move in later in the weekend or early next week...8^)...Ev
