Today&Future Forecast Summary

11:26 PM: Temp 37F, DP 26F, RH 64%, 1025.7 mb, calm, vis 10 mi, 0% clds, none

The weather will finally get interesting across the lower 48 this week after a week of tranquil weather, which has been the norm for most of the late fall and winter thus far. On Tuesday a low pressure will ride northward east of the Mississippi and spread moderate snows to In, Il, Wstrn Oh, and Mi. East of the low warm air will be sucked northward by southerly winds. Highs around here will top near 60 tommorrow and ditto that for Tuesday. Once the strong low pressure moves north of the Great Lakes into SE Canada, cold air will FINALLY move from the Northern Plains SEwrd into the NE and MDATLTC states. The air will be relatively cold compared to the abnormally warm air this season, however they will only run 5 or 10 degrees below normal, far from a BRUTAL arctic outbreak of 20-25 below normal. As misfortune will have it, later this week a storm will move our way from the SW JUST after the cold air will retreat from our area. Earlier model indications were that we would get socked by a powerful storm if not Tuesday night, then at least by Friday. Model trends have been to slow the upcoming storm down which leaves the atmosphere too warm for much of any frozen precip. This upcoming event is still several days away, which means that the forecast will change many times until then. I sure hope we either get one more snowstorm, or Mother Nature kicks out winter and brings in Spring.

I saw some guy at Home Depot today wearing shorts...o man I can't wait until it's warm enough to hit the pool and head down the shore for a few weekends. Until then, we'll have to settle for the LONG transition period between Winter and Spring. BOOOOOOOOORRRIINNNNGGGGG...8^)...Ev
