Today&Future Forecast Summary

10:44 PM: Temp 43F, DP 32F, RH 65%, 1011.0 mb, n 5, vis 4 mi, 100% str/haze

The coastal low that gave us a persistent rain from late last night throughout the day will move away from the New England coast overnight. Winds behind the low are shifting to the north and then the nw. Even with winds coming from Canada temps will warm up considerably tommorrow with highs in the mid 60s. Clouds will increase tommorrow night WELL in advance of a storm system now over the Rockies and central/northern plains. Friday will stay warm with highs around 70 and cloudy. Rain showers move in late Friday night and continue through the 1st half of Saturday. After that, we could be in for a stormy weekend in the upcoming week. Models are hinting at this, however models suck this winter so I'm not buying it yet. The rain today COULD be a hint that these models are correct

Winter storm warnings are widespread as a major winterstorm affects the Central/Northern Rockies, Central/Northern plains tonight and tommorrow. In some locations 1-2 feet of snow could fall. That snow could melt off fast in the plains states if chinook winds become a factor this weekend or next week. It's amazing how fast the air can warm up with a downsloping wind off of the Rockies. While temps in Oklahoma and Texas may still be in the 30s and 40s, temps in the plains directly east of the Rockies could be in the 70s and sometimes 80s. It's an awesome force of nature...8^)...Ev
