Today&Future Forecast Summary

10:51 PM: Temp 42F, DP 32F, RH 67%, 1014.5 mb, wnw 6 mph, vis 10 mi, 50% str, none

It friggin rained hard today, and it lasted all day. The creeks were at or beyond bankful which is nice to see for a change. I can hear the suppump going every couple minutes...quality. We're still around 10" below normal, I think, for the season. So, those drought emergencies will hold fast for awhile. One of the banned activities in an emergency is filling up ur pool. That would suck for lots of homeowners that have pools. Cmon rain! More will head our way later this weekend and early next week.

In New England today, some places got up to 10 inches of snow! This was thanks to the cold air holding its place strong as a great deal of moisture overode it. My cousins in Worsceter County, Mass got around 6" probably today...lucky bastards. But really, today is the first day of Spring...enough with the snow and cold...the little we had that is. I'm ready to bring out the short sleeves, shorts, and start mowing the lawn. The gardens out back are ready for some trimming...it just needs to get warmer. Tommorrow will be a good day to do gardening with highs in the 50s. Colder air comes in after a cold front moves through tommorrow night. We might get a rain shower as it passes, but it'll be very insignificat. Cold on Friday with highs in the 30s. A gradual warmup will make for a spectacular weekend. Get out and enjoy the extended spring sunshine this weekend...8^)...Ev
