Today&Future Forecast Summary

9:25 PM: Temp 74F, DP 57F, RH 57%, 1017 mb, sw 10 mph, vis 10 mi, 0% clouds, none

The haze was back today with slightly cooler temps. Isolated SLOW-MOVING t-storms developed over S. NJ, N. MD, and SC PA. 3-4 inches of rain fell in some areas causing localized flooding. More importantly however, it was greatly needed rain.

Tommorrow a front will approach the Ohio Valley and Western Pa. This front coupled wtih warm gulf flow and strong NW winds resulted in the issuing of 4 tornado watches today. I'm not sure how that ended up, but 4 tornado watches likely resulted in some tornados. Severe weather is again possible tommorrow in the Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and PA. The most likely time-frame for severe weather in Scranton is mid-late afternoon. Here in the Philly metropolitan area, storms will be most likely between 5-9 PM. Hopefully they will be slow-moving rather than form in squall lines which move faster. Be on the lookout tommorrow for threatening skies 8^)...Ev
