Today&Future Forecast Summary

Currently in HATFIELD, PA(1st forecast from here)@ 63F, dp 59F, 87%, 1006.3mb, ssw 9, clng unlimeted ft., vis 8mi, 0% clouds

Hey everyone. This is my first forecast from home in Hatfield, Pa. Over the next 8-9 months I will make forecasts from here. Eventually I'd like to get my own weather equiptment instead of relying on real-time local reports over the Internet. Also, I want to have my own weather site evanlowery.com. In the meantime I'll just use the resources available to me in showing conditions and discussing forecasts.

RAIN RAIN RAIN all day today. It began later last night and poured off and on today. We really needed it having been in a drought for several months now. The weekend will turn out great with slightly cooler temps in the 40s and mostly clear skies. The rain will start up again Sunday night and continue into early next week. Originally, forecast models were predicting cold air funneling down from Canada after Monday's low pressure moved into Eastern Canada. The models seem to be changing somewhat now. Yes, some cold air will move in later this week, however, it won't last long. Once stormy weather returns prior to Christmas, it may be too warm for snow/ice, or the low will ride to our west and northwest instead of a more favorable snow track along the coastline. It's still several days away. Last weekend the forecast models were all screwed up after a surprise storm blew up in the southeast and ran near the coast. This gave portions of Northern Pa, New York, and Southern New England 2-9 inches of snow. Anything is possible. Lets all just hope for the snow, even if you hate snow, hope for snow for me. Ok have a great weekend and enjoy the excellent weather...8^)...Ev
