Today&Future Forecast Summary

The long awaited storm has moved through our region. As I speak, the cold front is pushing across Eastern Pa and NJ. In Western Pa, temps have already dipped below freezing. Today was the last day of our above normal fall/ early winter seasons. The weather pattern has completely flip-flopped starting today. Instead of a dominant ridge over the east, a huge trough has developed. This trough has driven the models and forecasters crazy! There are disagreements across the country/world. Noone has had any real control over the evolving situations to come. Right now, there's a potential for a Nor Easter on Wednesday and Thursday. MOst of the model runs have trended west for a low pressure that will develop on the East Coast somewhere. Some new models indicate HUGE snowfall potentials for the immediate coasts, southeast, and New England. During the fall and early winter most of the models have forecasted storms too far to the east. With warm SST's this trend could continue and the East could get socked. There are many factors coming into play with this scenario, however its looking more favorable each model run. I sure hope we get socked. However, the roads best be cleared by Thursday morning so we can make our traditional treck to Massachusetts for the family visit over the holidays. Our luck, the big storm will only piss me off getting me stuck here instead of getting me all excited. Yeh right, I can help it, I"ll be pumped for snow anytime, but missing Mass would be a huge loss. Anyways, check out Weather Matrix and Millenium Weather (Gary Grey) for in depth updates concerning the Wednesday storm and other storms that may be lurking this????...8^)...Ev
