"Oh go take a...I don't know what but somethig that takes you a long way from me. That was the stupidest idea that I've ever heard, ever. Why don't you go back to england, I dont need you, I don't like you and I dont want you. I want giles back. He cared." buffy screamed at an astounded Wesley before stalking out of the library.
"I don't understand" Wesley muttered to himself.
"i'm sure she doesn't mean it." Willow consold him. "She just misses Giles, thats all."
"Yes, well, thats plain. Maybe I should go, its not as if I'm actually doing any good here."
"Wesley don't talk that way, I appreciate you." Willow replied and in a rare moment of daring placed a hand on either of his shoulders.
Wesley looked at her, "Really? You wouldn't rather I just left you all alone?"
Willow didn't reply but just stood in front of him and smiled slightly, she was considering his potential in a very non-willow like fashion. Waying up the pros and cons that were Wesley she came up with, he was older, yes, and stuffy but also needy and kinda sweet, so when wesley leant forward and kissed her she let him and after a moment responded.
When they pulled apart, willow smiled slightly, then her eyes widened in horror, "Oh no, Oz!" and she ran out of the library.
"Why do girls always do that?"

Buffy was furious, Giles had sent her out to almost certain death before, quite a few times infact but never callously and he'd almost allways offered to take her place. She was so furious, she'd decided that she couldn't take anymore of Wesley or Sunnydale and was packing a few essentials, clothes, stakes etc. in a bag. She'd written her mother a note and booked a plane ticket to London, England. She had precisly 2 hours in which to get to the airport and board the plane and no demon or stupid watcher or even Willow was going to charge her mind.
Sitting on the plane Buffy began to question her judgement and consider the posibility that Giles would think she was deserting her post and be cross with her or worse that he just wouldn't see her he had after all left her to the keeping of the incompetant, screaming Wesley. But she'd run out of time it was impossible to go back now because they were now flying at so many thousand feet she hadn't actually been listening when the pilot said it but it was pretty high so getting off was a tad dificult by this point.

"Well what the hell did you say to her you bumbling idiot?" Giles yelled into his phone."...You must have said something I don't see Buffy just jumping on a plane for England with no reason it's quite a radical decision even for an American....Of course I'll look after her, Goodbye" Giles slammed the reciever back down on the telephone missing the catch and so spoiling the effect somewhat but since he was the only person in the room it didn't matter all that much.
The room was his office, it was small but quite nice for all that, it was good to have his old job back he had missed the intellectual stimulation in California. Research had been fine but high school librarians aren't normally quite as well qualified as Giles. He did have that to thank the council for forcing him to take all those degrees and then getting him the job of curator of mythology at the british museum, it was a very influencial post in historical circles.
Wesley had said the plane would get into to London Heathrow in 1 hours and there was no way he would not be there to meet her. Giles stacked the papers that scattered his desk into some form of order, locked his door and set off for the airport, trying in vain to stop fantasies of his reconciliation with Buffy from flooding through his head, he knew it wasn't likely but couldn't banish the thought that if she'd come all this way to see him she might return his feelings just a little bit.
