All sorts of thoughts ran through Spike's head as he sat on a hill top waiting for the sun to rise.

Surprisingly only about half of them were about himself. The other thoughts replayed the memory of the nights events over and over again. When he'd seen Angelus with Giles he'd thought that was effective torture, but it was nothing to what he was feeling now.

Spike saw the moment when he'd done it and blood stained tears welled up in his eyes. He didn't bother to wipe them away, even if anyone had been there he wouldn't have. It didn't matter what they thought now anyway.

Spike slammed Giles' head against the wall. His glasses fell of and landed on the floor. Spike ignored them and continued pounding.

He could feel someone tugging at him, trying to stop him from doing what he was doing.

Spike turned round, droppping Giles in a crumpled heap on the floor, it didn't matter, he was dead now anyway.

Spike saw Willow infront of him. She had always chosen Giles over him, but it didn't matter anymore, Giles was dead, and though Spike may not have been alive at least he was still walking about.

Suddenly Spike felt an over powering need for her blood.

He pulled her against himself, nearly crushing the air from her lungs as he did so. Willow struggled but could do nothing. She was like a mouse in the claws of a cat, her fate was sealed.

At the moment these thoughts came to her she felt the searing pain of two fangs piercing her jugular.

The pain Willow felt translated it's self to Spike as pleasure. He arched his back in ecstasy. Spike was glad now that Willow had always been faithfull to Giles as this kind of pleasure could never have been granted to him by keeping Willow alive.

And it was that thought that kept haunting Spike. He knew that he need feel no remorse, it shouldn't matter, he was a vampire and that's what vampires do.

The cycle started again.

Spike watched as Giles and Willow left the bronze. They walked hand in hand, chatting away happily.

Spike thought of how he used to walk like that with her.

He'd hated Giles since the day Willow had left him for that balding librarian. Spike may be old, but at least he didn't look it.

Spike couldn't take it anymore. He walked out infront of the couple and grabbed Willow. Giles tried to step in the way, but it was futile, Spike just threw him off.

"Will, you've gotta take me back, what we had was so much better than this, surely you know that?"

"No, Spike" she said, gently removing his hands "Giles is caring and peacefull and thinks about me before himself."

"I did all those things" Spike pleaded.

"No you didn't," Willow replied "You were violent and selfish and at the end of the day a vampire. It was never going to work was it?"

This was too much for Spike, he advanced threateningly on Willow, no-one could talk to him like that, not even her.

Before he got to Willow, Spike could feel Giles' hands on his back.

"Come on man, give it up, she's got over you, now you've just got to get over your self. Leave her alone, it's not helping anyone is it?"

Spike saw red. He slammed Giles' head against the wall. Giles' glasses fell of and landed on the floor. Spike ignored them and continued pounding.

Spike could see the sun start to rise in the distance, he figured the cycle would get round on more time before he was dust. What did it matter anyway, nothing mattered anymore.
