With Dynasty Wrestling’s Redemption less than one week away Zeek Williams was starting to get into the swing of things. After a two year absence Williams made his return to the squared circle in a tag team match against Simon Sensation and Blunt. Unfortunately for Zeek the match didn’t go quite how he had hoped it would go. He managed to put Blunt away but it was Simon Sensation that delivered the Overnight Sensation and left Williams lying face up looking at the lights. Zeek Williams knew that losing to Simon Sensation would create a much bigger problem than had ever existed before. Because now Zeek Williams was obsessed with capturing the DW World’s Heavyweight Championship and proving that he is on another level, a level Simon Sensation could never reach. But at the same time it gave Simon Sensation more ammo to run off at the mouth about stepping up his game and Zeek being a so-called washed up has-been. Because the absolute truth of the matter is that Zeek Williams did suffer from ring rust. He had put Blunt down with the Silencer and for whatever reason completely forgot to even look to see where Sensation was. That one small mistake lost Zeek Williams and Peyton Summers the match and the Legion Tag Championships. But things were coming back to Zeek Williams quickly. He defeated Wayne Chaos in singles competition, in fact Zeek nearly annihilated Wayne Chaos leaving the man broken, incapable of mounting any kind of real offense. Zeek was proud of that win. Though Chaos had not been one of the impact players in Dynasty Wrestling it was still a dominating victory and it was exactly what Williams needed. Heading into the battle royal Williams was determined to get himself to the final four so that he would have a shot at the World’s Heavyweight Championship. Some people say Zeek Williams got lucky. They say that if it weren’t for Peyton Summers, Zeek Williams would’ve been defeated, once again by Simon Sensation. Perhaps they were right but not likely. Regardless of what happened, Williams survived long enough to make it to the final four. In fact he was one of two men left standing in the ring after eliminating Johnny Moxie. It was then that Zeek Williams eliminated himself from the ring instead of competing with Simon Sensation. A lot of people have speculated that Zeek Williams feared Simon Sensation. In fact he was sure Simon Sensation thought the same thing and would harp on it continually. The truth was, Williams had no reason to fight Simon Sensation. He had earned his spot in the World’s Heavyweight Title hunt. He was one of four men with a shot at the title come Redemption. Why ruin that? Why put his body through more punishment? Why risk further injuring himself and head into Redemption with the World Title on the line at less than one hundred percent? It didn’t make any sense. Once Williams knew he had made it to the final four he no longer had a reason to compete. He had achieved all that he wanted to achieve. Nothing would’ve changed had he eliminated Sensation from the ring except who he would face in the semi finals match. But when it comes down to it what was the difference? Johnny Moxie or Adam Lax, as far as Zeek was concerned it was all the same. Lax, being the seasoned veteran and Moxie being the red hot up and comer… either way they would fall to Zeek. Because no one was going to come in between Zeek Williams and the DW World’s Heavyweight Championship. Not Adam Lax, not Johnny Moxie, not Savannah Richards, and especially not Simon Sensation…

Zeek Williams sits in a dark purple chair in what appears to be a waiting room. Identical chairs line three out of the four walls with a large wooden coffee table in between them. On the coffee table various magazines and newspapers are scattered around offering reading material while people wait. There is no one else in the room currently as Zeek Williams sits in an impatient silence. He reaches his hand into the pockets of his blue jeans and pulls out his cell phone. He flips it open checking the time and then closes the phone before returning it to his pocket. He exhales loudly, obviously wanting to vocalize his frustration, though there is no one else in the room. Zeek places his hands on his knees and begins drumming a little beat on them attempting to occupy himself in hopes of, ultimately, forgetting his boredom. The drumming only last a couple dozen seconds before Zeek stops and his hands go flat on his knees. Zeek turns his attention slightly, his eyes catching a painting hanging on the far wall above the chairs. He tilts his head to one side, narrows his eyes, and stares directly at the painting questioningly. He then places his hands on the arms on the chair and pushes himself to his feet. He moves around the coffee table approaching the painting, his head still cocked to one side, his eyes still narrowed. Williams stands just in front of the chair, so close that his knees touch the seat of the chair. He leans forward getting extremely close to the painting. There really isn’t anything interesting about the painting, at least someone like you or I wouldn’t find much interest in it. It is simply a landscape scene. Autumn leaves scattered across a peaceful pond. The background is a blend of orange, red, and brown as the trees begin to change and lose their leaves. Zeek continues staring at the painting for a long time in complete silence, the questioningly never quite leaving his face. Suddenly a door behind Zeek opens and a middle aged woman steps out wearing a crimson colored sweater and a long black skirt. Though she’s most likely in her forties, maybe fifties, she’s still extremely attractive with a nice figure. The woman stands, the door resting on her back, and she simply stares at Zeek for a moment wondering what it is he’s doing. The woman clears her throat and Zeek kind of jumps completely unaware of the fact that she has been watching him. Williams turns around and forces a smile. He begins walking towards the woman and the door. Half way to the door Williams turns around looking at the painting once more as he approaches the door. Williams turns looks at the woman and then enters the room. The woman looks towards the painting and then follows Zeek into the room letting the door close behind them. In the room, Williams sits down in another dark purple chair, this one a different style than the chairs in the waiting room. This one looks to be much more comfortable. The woman moves around the large wooden desk and looks over the papers and folders scattered across the table. She grabs a folder and then moves back around the desk. She sits down in a black leather chair several feet away, but directly in front of Zeek. She opens the folder pulling a pen free from the edge. She looks over the papers for just a second and then looks up at Zeek, who is looking down at the floor to his left side. Realizing she is looking at him Zeek turns his attention back to the woman. This woman is Dr. Victoria Evans, a therapist.

Victoria Evans “So Zeek, how have you been since our last visit?”

Zeek Williams “Do you mean have I hurt anyone since our last visit?”

The woman looks at Zeek for a moment.

Victoria Evans “Have you?”

Zeek shrugs nonchalantly.

Zeek Williams “Only at work. They put me up against this guy… Wayne Chaos. I felt like I had something to prove so I gave it to him pretty good. Worked him over pretty bad actually. He’s alright though. Couple hours with an ice pack and he’ll be good as knew.”

The woman remains silent for a moment.

Victoria Evans “And why did you feel you had something to prove?”

Zeek clears his throat almost uncomfortably and adjusts his position in his seat.

Zeek Williams “I don’t know. My entire career I have been the man people compare other wrestlers to. I have been… the bar, if you will. I have been an impact player in every promotion I have ever been a part of, I have captured championship after championship. A week ago, I lost to my arch rival, Simon Sensation. Now that’s someone you need to be talking to. Did you know he broke a man’s neck this last week? Yeah, Damien Only, just nineteen years old. I mean, I know accidents happen in my line of work but between you and me… I think he did it on purpose.”

Zeek nods his head as if to validate his own point. Victoria just stares at him for a moment taking in what he’s saying. Zeek shakes his head quickly and raises a hand as if to settle her down.

Zeek Williams “I know what you’re thinking, I’m projecting. I’m trying to make everyone else look like the bad guy so that I look innocent and that is not what I’m doing. I’m saying our sessions have helped. I’m a changed man. I mean… I no longer struggle with the issues I once struggled with. I feel great!”

Victoria nods her head slowly.

Victoria Evans “How long has it been since you slept Zeek?”

Zeek narrows his eyes in confusion.

Zeek Williams “What?”

Victoria Evans “Your eyes…”

Victoria adjusts in her chair, unfolding her legs and then refolding them the opposite way.

Victoria Evans “…you have heavy bags under your eyes. I thought we solved the insomnia?”

Zeek leans back in his chair exhaling loudly.

Zeek Williams “It’s fine. I just haven’t been sleeping much because I’ve been busy. Training, interviews, promotional stuff… it takes a lot to get back into this game when you’ve been out for two years you know? But things are calming down and everything will be mellow again. Especially once I become World Heavyweight Champion, then things will go back to normal, I’ll be the biggest name in Dynasty Wrestling, and I wont have to work so hard to get my face out there.”

Victoria nods her head slowly, remaining silent for a moment.

Victoria Evans “So you’ve been competing in this promotion for two weeks and you’ve got a shot at the World Title already? That’s impressive. That doesn’t sound like the kind of opportunity given to someone who needs to prove they are still a dominate force.”

Zeek sighs closing his eyes for a moment. He opens them again and looks at Victoria in silence for a moment.

Zeek Williams “In my business opportunities are not given. Opportunities are earned. I have to earn the right to compete for the World Title just like everyone else. I had to fight through a grueling battle royal just like eight other competitors and now I have to go through two matches in one night just like three other superstars. Whoever has the ability to win two matches in one night will be champion.”

Victoria nods her head slowly.

Victoria Evans “How long has it been since you’ve last held a championship Zeek?”

Zeek pauses for a moment seeming as though he’s hesitant to answer.

Zeek Williams “eight hundred fifty-five days…”

Victoria’s eyes widen a little completely surprised by Zeek’s answer. There is a moment of silence while Victoria attempts to process her thoughts. When she does speak, her voice is weak and unsure.

Victoria Evans “You’ve… kept count…?”

Zeek nods his head slowly.

Zeek Williams “That is the day The Saint Assassin died. That is the day Mike Young and Jayson Carter combined forces to screw me out of everything. They took my championship, they took my girlfriend, they took my friends, and then they took my career. I spent the next two years wondering the country, drinking at any and every watering hole I could find, pissing my life away.”

Victoria Evans “Zeek stop. You take responsibility for your own life remember? You do not blame others.”

Zeek Williams “Yeah doc, that’s all fine and dandy when we’re talking about losing to Simon Sensation or Reese making a mistake a costing us the Tag Titles. It is completely different when your biggest rival and your boss conspire to eliminate you from professional wrestling forever. You don’t understand. Everything that happened to me was a part of their plan. I’m not projecting, I’m not being paranoid. I didn’t feud with Young and Carter strictly on a professional level. It wasn’t an exciting storyline that was only played out on camera. We hated each other on a personal level. It was that hatred for one another that led to the on camera stuff.”

Victoria Evans “We’ve talked about Jayson Carter. I want to hear about Mike Young. Why do you hate him the way you do?”

Zeek exhales heavily and closes his eyes. He rubs his eyes with his thumb and pointer finger.

Zeek Williams “Because he took something very precious from me.”

Victoria nods.

Victoria Evans “What did he take from you?”

Zeek still doesn’t remove his hand from his eyes.

Zeek Williams “Innocence.”

Victoria looks puzzled.

Victoria Evans “Innocence? …What do you mean Zeek?”

Zeek sighs and pulls his hand from his eyes. He looks up at Victoria, his expression angry.

Zeek Williams “Mike Young and his cock sucker of a brother Rick Young did a number on me. They put my ass on the shelf for months. While I was gone they… they raped my girlfriend.”

Victoria nods again.

Victoria Evans “Druj Knox?”

Zeek shakes his head.

Zeek Williams “No, Savannah.”

Victoria Evans “You’ve had two girlfriends sexually attacked in your career?”

Zeek nods his head slowly unable to find words. Victoria watches him for a moment judging his reaction. She nods her head slowly and closes the folder on her lap.

Victoria Evans “Okay, I think that’s enough for today. We’ll pick back up next week okay?”

Zeek nods his head slowly and pushes himself up from his chair. He forces a smile and turns walking towards the door.

Victoria Evans “Zeek! If you need anything at all, feel free to call me any time.”

Zeek looks at Victoria and nods his head. He turns back grabbing the handle and pulling the door open. Zeek leaves the room allowing the door to close behind him. Once outside the office Williams lifts up the front of his shirt pulling a pair of aviator sunglasses from the waistband of his jeans. He puts them on an arrogant smirk on his face.

Zeek Williams “Too easy.”

Williams begins walking towards a wooden door in between two large windows. He opens the door stepping out into a hallway and turns to his left. The door closes behind him with a soft click. He moves to the elevator and hits the button. He waits several moments and the elevator doors open. Standing in the elevator is none other than Peyton Summers. Zeek smirks at Peyton arrogantly and she returns his smirk with a flirtatious one of her own. Zeek steps onto the elevator and stands beside Peyton. They look into each other’s eyes as the elevator doors close.
