Ivy was still trapped in the classroom.

Zack turned back to the blackboard. He began to write an equation.

Splat! A spitball hit the board. Zack ignored it and continued writing.

Splat! The next spitball was even bigger. It was too big to stick to the
chalkboard. It oozed down to the tray.

Ivy silently moaned. Lee was turning this classroom of chaos into a classroom
of sloppy spitballs. And sooner or later, one of the spitballs was going to
hit its target.

The 'substitute teacher' turned to face the class. "Since you seem so
uninterested in your math lesson, let's switch gears to biology."

Ivy doubted that Zack would introduce formalhyde to this bunch. Luckily, he
didn't.

Zack went over to the desk and pulled out a stack of papers. These were
passed around the room.

"Hey, how come the redhead gets the special treatment?" called a kid from the
back.

"She's the substitute teacher's sister, remember?" Lee answered.

Ivy felt her cheeks get hot. She resisted the temptation to hit Lee on the
head with a textbook.

"Do the questions on the paper. They require short, one word answers." was
the instruction.

Ivy read the paper. 'What is the technical term for extended periods of
unnaturally long sleep?' was the first question. The next was 'What is the
technical term for a temporary loss of motor functions?'

Each question was more complicated than the one before. Ivy's heart sank. How
was she suppose to know advanced chronic disorders? She was a detective, not
a med student!

Zack walked back to the desk and opened a drawer. A few minutes passed. Lee
coughed loudly. A shower of crumpled up pieces of paper bombarded the
unfortunate teacher. "All right. If you don't want to do biology, we can move
on to geography.

Zack stiffly walked to a bookcase. He pulled out enough books for the class
and began to distribute them.

This was obviously too good an opportunity for Lee to miss. He stuck out a
foot in the aisle as Zack was crossing.

The inevitable happened. Zack tripped and the books flew in the air.

The class roared with laughter.

Ivy expected Zack to call it quits then and there. But he simply got up,
dusted himself off, and finished passing out the books.

Soon the lunch bell rang. The class got out of their seats and left the room.

Ivy wondered what she should do. Zack was already gone. She left the room and
followed the mass to a large room.

The room contained a lot of tables. Ivy looked around and found Lee at one.
He was sitting with a bunch of the other classmates.

"Listen up, gang. I've got a plan to get rid of our little substitute teacher
once and for all....."

To be continued....
