AURORA BORIALIS

I found this page while looking for inspiration.
It appealed to me because I saw the northern lights once and it isn't something you forget.
It must have been 1991 I saw them but seeing this page brought back clear images.

We lived from 1990-1995 just south of Oban, Scotland. You don't usually get the Northern lights that far south.
One night I was returning from work (waitressing at a restaurant a couple of miles down the lough)
when I noticed this glimmering green glow in the sky.

Now I knew it wasn't the effects of anything else 'cause I was working and though no angel, I have always (well almost always) been contientious if working. The minute I got home I dragged Stewart (hubby) out to look. He'd traveled and worked a lot further north and had seen them before. We both stood and watched the effects for ages. I have been told the further North you see the lights the more effects and colours you get although green and white are the usual colors. It was something I had heard of and never really believed I would see. I sincerely hope I get to see it again.
Although we lived there for 5 years, I only ever saw the lights once.

The "special effects" of the world around us far surpasses anything than man will ever manage to create.
