Maybe Here
I've looked everywhere for you / In different places, in different faces - always / looked for you / Your whole and honest heart / in every breath you spoke / never found in one place I tried. No truth and love / came shining from any other eye. / No place, no face but you. / I search the world for you, / In every city, on every corner, / hoping to see the strength / and knowledge of your smile. / I haven't found the you I want. / I haven't looked enough. / I can stil feel everything / you used to touch me. / At different times, in different places / always feeling you.

Confidence Biding
I will wait patiently - bide my time.
Sit in quiet stillness - test my thoughts.
Watching you work, seeing you stand.
And waiting for time to pass by your eyes.
Maybe in time you'll remember me.
Turn your eyes behind - see my quiet form.
You'll think of Knights and kings - of an oddessey.
You'll remember me - my willingness to play,
eager to be defeated.
My words of educated meaning - my still gaze of feeling.
Yes, you will remember me - realize you are needed.

Perfect's Prison
I didni't think you saw me, / I was shrouded in light. / My form invisible against myself. / It's no wonder you didn't / There's too much to see. / Like the forest for the trees. / But my heart cries, / tears of recognition. / It knows you look for love / in that perfect prison. / My heart is perfect. / It beats to your drum, / it bleeds to your wound, / and stops on your death. / But I dont' think you see it, / I am shrouded in light, / my heart invisible beneath my form.

Depression
Breathe in and taste the joy of fogotten sun
Darkness knows no bound on the chasm of your soul
Despair, your gravity, as you fall into me
Never to stand and feel the kiss
of Eros as he lights your eyes
The smoke of hell rots the air
As joy falls from your breath.

Dying Heart
I can't feel my legs, I stand on knees of stone,
the wet grass clings to my clothes as I pray for peace of mind.
I remember lying in your arms, the crystal vision of lasting love
indelible in my heart.
I have locked my soul away in towers of ivory tears
cried for you.
The stone - my hollow heart - left empty since you left.
I kneel at this window - barred by brick and mortor - taken over by force.
The flesh of my unsated body grows cold,
to stone.
As I become the tower that hides me from the world.

Rain
It falls in sheets and changes what it touches.
Popping softly on the ground. / A thousand opal sequins / on the black dress of night.
They shine and sparkle - catch the eye. / The amber glow of the streetlight / casts the falling shadows
of the tears of clouds, / as they drop like tiny moist bombs / on the minefield of leaves and grass
and asphalt.

Vessel
Drink me and learn of loneliness, / as tears wash down my face.
Trailing the desert of my cheeks / leaving paths of dry moisture
etched into my skin.
Taste me and learn of passion / as the heat of my flesh singes you
burning a pit into your belly / sharing my coldest fire
with your heart's inferno.
Touch me and learn the power / of lust in a single point
A spark of resistance in this sated skin / Urging you onward - upward
your desire in full bloom.
Kiss me and learn despair / the tears from my eyes mingling
your tongue tasting cold fire / your lips feeling power
that you will never share.

Summer Dreams
As I lie on my tempset sheets the twinkling stars take pictures of me
through my roaring window.
As I put ink to this pulpy page the inconstant wind is ruffling my shirt
through its open cage.
A glimpse of Sante Fe beneath my head the desert sand in in my hair
an oasis to my dreams.
Lying on my bed of steel the silken sheen is cool on my skin
offering me needed warmth
Pulling storms over my heart I rest my had in the dunes
Buffeted by the wind.

Cynic
I don't feed birds and I don't save whales
I don't wear ribbons and I don't do sales
I can't save the world with my precious little self
and I can't heal the sick without the expert help
I don't clean the beach or adopt a scenic highway
I can't follow others I have to do things my way
The world is not my kitchen, it isn't my front porch
I cannot keep the candle lit without a flaming torch
I am only one not the hundred men you want
and if I don't save the world, its just because I can't.

Ode To Dali
Time drips so slowly
off the face of the table
Little droplets form seconds
that never tick by.
The puddle of minutes
collected on the floor
are wasted moments in time
never becoming the precious hours.
