This autumn I started school - I have been a schoolboy now for almost two months. My school is called Vassbonn - there is more than 500 pupils. The school works the way that we are given a lot of drawing exercises, and we are reading a lot of fairytales. At the moment we are reading and working with the folktale "the pancake". We will draw something from the tale, we cut the drawings and glues them to a cardboard at the blackboard. The pancake tells about a wife, the mother to seven howling brats who all wants pancakes - suddenly a pancake jumps and escapes the frying pan and rolls along all seven children and the wife following. The pancake meets a lot of animals trying to eat it - at least it goes along with a pig - and the pig eats it as they cross a river.

All first grades merge for at joint session Friday's, grade 1a, 1b and 1c. We sing, our teacher Knut sometimes plays the guitar, Christene - our other teacher sometimes tells tales up on the stage in our music hall where our joint sessions takes place. And we are allowed to tell jokes at the stage.

Each morning we meet for singing our song of welcome "welcome I greet you", and Monday mornings our bear Frida will tell how she did spend her weekend. Frida is a teddy we takes home for weekends by turns, last weekend did Frida spend at Ulrikke's cabin. Everything Frida experiences is logged in "Fridas book". I was lucky to bring Frida home the first weekend, we went to Larvik for a boating trip with my uncle and aunt - Frida's photo was later included in the book. We visited an island - Stavernsøya - where we prepared a barbecue using the grill Morten and Bjørn Aage nearly failed to assemble.

In the mornings - before school starts at 9am - and in the afternoons after school ends at 12:30 p.m. I join to the leisure arrangements at school. This works almost as kindergarten, it's a place where we are taken care of when Tone and Morten are working. We're drawing, playing football, we plays hide-and-seek, and we are riding the bicycles. We are working in the pottery workshop and we are playing in the gymnasium. Last Monday Fabulatores visited us, Fabulatores was a girl telling very nice tales. She brought a tale teller stone that shone more as she was telling nicer tales.

My best friend - and neighbor is Martin .

My greatest wish is a Goldwing, that is a motorcycle. We use to see quite a few Goldwings at Tyrigrava. Tyrigrava is a local inn where motor cyclists meet and where Petter works. We eats dinner there from time to time - I eat frankfurters with French fries.

We often sets out for a ride on our bicycles, and we use to stop by at the library. The library is near our city hall where the chairman of the county council is. Outside the library hangs the coat-of-arms of our municipality called Oppegård.

Thursdays I attend swimming lessons - our instructors are quite OK. During our ninth lesson we will learn to swim. So far are we playing "watch the shark" and other plays. Fridays comes with dancing lessons - we learn various dances, among others samba and polonaise.

During weekends we are orienteering in the forests, we are using a map to find trees marked with a red and white square, and a clip with spikes is attached to the tree with which we pinches a sheet with numbers on it. We can win a bronze, silver - or golden pin if you find most controls. We are cooking sausages over a fire, I'm drinking cocoa and the adults are drinking coffee.
