Me - orienteering :

This picture shows me orienteering - we will need a map, a control card which is a a sheet of paper with a lot of numbers on, and a compass. Last Sunday (November 11, - editors note) we hiked again and we found enough controls to qualify for gold this season ! Controls are hanging from the trees, a control is a red and white square with a clip attached that has a lot of small spikes. The control is marked with a number, an you clip your control card at the corresponding number.

To find the controls you must use the map, and sometimes you must use the compass too to find them - the red little arrow on the compass will always point north !

Our orienteering-hikes are cozy, we will lit a fire to fry frankfurters, we drink cocoa, and we will fry apples too.

This is the "flag" hanging to show where the control is. The flag is always red and white.

This is the number of the control - we must clip this number on the control card.

This is the spiky clip used to clip the control card.

This is the rucksack with wood for the fire, provisions, cocoa, coffee, map, compass an a lot more.
