Welcome to my page on dreams. On this page I hope to help you understand something about the nature of dreams and what they sometimes mean.

In our dreams we replay the things happening in our lives, putting them together in different ways. This is why some dreams are almost lifelike but others are totally unbelievable. While we sleep, before the day's events get filed away in our memory, our dreams sort through them all to make sense of them.

If there have been disappointments or other upsets during the day, a dream is a safety valve the releases the tensions that may have built up inside us. There may be things we are worried about, but haven't admitted to ourselves yet. Dreams dramatize these fears and anxieties in stories so that we become aware of them- and can start to deal with them when we wake.
Dreams remind us of people, places and events we've forgotten. They may also tell us about what will happen in the future. Dreams can help get us ready for tomorrow. If we listen to them, they can guide us towards making better choices and decisions.

Dreams can be fun, showing us a part of our lives as a comedy or a fantasy. In our dreams, anything is possible. We can be whoever we want to be, go wherever we want, do whatever we want- with whoever we want. Don't take your dreams too seriously- sometimes it's just your brain having fun, amusing its self while you sleep.

Some common things people dream about are:

  • falling, which could mean your worried about failing at something important.
  • water: which involves your feelings and emotions.
  • death: not always someone dying, it could just be a major change in you life.
  • lateness: you might want to succeed at something important, but are afraid you're going to fail.
  • marriage: if your a girl you'll probably have someone totally unexpected and unlikely as the groom. If your a guy those it will probably be the real person you want to marry.
  • being naked in public: you could want to be more open and honest instead of hiding your true self.
  • policemen: you could be worried about having a bad conscience.

Gossamer: Guardian against Bad Dreams
Many of our dreams jumble bits of everyday life around in a new way that doesn't always mean anything. This is just our brain organizing the day's events. This is why bad dreams don't always mean something bad will happen. Bad dreams can be caused by being to tired, too much worry- or even eating cheese just before you go to bed.

Some interesting dream facts are:

  • You'll remember dreams better if you wake up straight away after it.
  • When you're young you dream more. After 20, you might only dream for a few hours a night.
  • If you think you never have dreams, or just have trouble remembering them, tell yourself before you go to sleep, 'I will dream tonight' so that you can remember them.
  • You will remember some dreams as very clear, and some as very confusing and jumbled. What matters is what's in the dream, not whether all of it makes sense.

When dreaming, it's important to always dream in faith, love and hope. Happy dreaming!
