Welcome to the history of Dreamstar. Our journey started way back in November of 1996, when this humble adobe was know mearly as Lauren's Homepage. It was a small, one page home, but over time it grew. It come one day that Lauren decided the castle was old enough to have a new name.

After a great deal of work, Lauren's Homepage become Lauren's Junk in CyberSpace. The new name was accompnied by new pages, one jokes page being the only one I can now remember. It remained this way for quite some time, growing from about 3 pages to at least 12. It even stood out in Space a bit, and recieved a fair share of travellers. It was in The Site Fights once, and even reached the DMan Dome. There came a time though when the name become just too much trouble to type, and the dark background was a pain to look at.

To solve this Lauren decided to redecorate the entire site with a fresh, wholesome look to it. Because of the new look, it could no longer be called Lauren's Junk in CyberSpace, and Lauren thought long and hard about what to call it next. Finally the name struck her: Castles in the Clouds, and so it remained from 25/9/98 until 11/9/00.

The castle underwent a fairly major re-modeling when the Webmistress brought a copy of Picture Publisher 8, allowing her to create her own graphics. The name and basic style was kept though as she was fairly happy with them.

Now though, the time has come for a change. Now longer is the title Castles in the Clouds fitting, mainly coz what does my site have to do with either? Also, I'm just plain sick of it! So I was spending a while thinking about what my new look could be, and I was surfing the net at the same time, so when I came across this set by Fullmoon Graphics, they both just came together. And so Dreamstar was born! Hope you enjoy, and please tell your friends about it. All comments and suggestions will always be welcome.
