The Day We Met
The day we met I knew something changed
what had seemed normal was now deranged
the hole in my heart was awakened by you
for the feelings I felt were pouring through
The day we met I felt my soul come alive
like nature in spring starting to thrive
the feelings of love engulfing my heart
oh where were you when my journey did start
The day we met was like Christmas again
a child by the tree with a glorious grin
a life time of love had been held at bay
was being released when I held you that day
The day we met would change my world its true
always and forever I will love you
My Vision
When I look in your eyes what do I see
A soul so pure it could only be
Made in heaven assembled on earth
A special woman from the moment of birth
The ability to bring out the best in me
combined with compassion and rare beauty
I pray in the day and dream in the night
For the day to come when I hold you tight
To reach out my hand and touch your face
My blood starts to boil my heart does race
God made you special I know this is true
The mold has been broken there's only one you
I wander through time like I'm trapped in a maze
Hoping and praying that you'll fill my days
I love you always and forever that’s true
dreaming of the day to say "I do"
A soul so pure it could only be

Silver and gold just won't do
Even treasures buried deep
Give them all if my love you'll keep
Priceless jewels and diamonds rare
To your heart they don't compare
Exquisite works of art I'd give
If together forever we could live
Ancient artifacts worth so much
Trade them all for just one touch
Mansions and temples and fancy cars
Rather lay with you and watch the stars
I'd abandon kingdoms and give up land
to be with you and kiss your hand
Your gentle touch is on my mind
My gift of love please don't decline
Our lives both empty souls crying out
Our paths have crossed I have no doubt
What direction will they go will they part again?
Is there more to this my beautiful friend?
Reflections
When the end is near and we look back on life
will we regret our choices was it worth the strife
Time is so fleeting true happiness is sparse
will our heads hang in sorrow knowing it was a farse
we sail across time passing many in the night
what keeps us from grabbing our hearts delight
why settle for tin when gold is so near
these things I've been thinking bring me to tear
loves many splendors are distant to me
nothing but dreams of a partner to be
to share and to give my most secret desire
to the one whose touch ignited my fire
how much longer can I live this lie
I must break free or soon I will die
the man in the mirror wants only to smile
he dreams of love if just for awhile
then reality returns his smile goes away
he looks down he's lost another day
will we regret our choices was it worth the strife
