Glazed Lemon Pound Cake
This makes a really small cake so double the recipe
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
a teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup crisco
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt, set aside
Cream Sugar and crisco
add eggs and flour mixture
Add lemon extract and beat
pour into a tube pan
bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour 15 min.
Glaze
INGREDIENTS
Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
mix lemon juice and powdered sugar
Beat until smooth
Pour over cake
