Reyna calls her green and you fly off. "This weyr is slightly further off than the others," Reyna says. Finally her green flies down into a seperate part of the mountain. "Why don't you go between?" you ask. Reyna blushes, "Haven't learn't yet." You dismount her dragon and follow Reyna through a series of rooms, large enough for a dragon. You don't bother trying to find out why she doesn't bring her dragon in. Finally you reach a room with signs of life. Reyna knocks and the door opens. "Hello Reyna, hello there," a woman with long wavy black hair says. You walk into the weyr after introducing yourself. "I'm Selene," the woman says. You see that there is a seperate space for which a dragon can come in adjoined to the room. "Selene's a HAD, she finds it embarrasing because no one else has," Reyna whispers to you and you nod. Selene notions to some chairs and you sit down. "Are you a candidate?" you ask. "Yes, I am. I'm also a journeywoman healer, but I never really wanted to be. I wanted to be a dragonrider. But my father said I couldn't. I begged to make him let me go but he wouldn't. So I was out by the river one day, crying, but not much, when I saw a dragon-rider flying into the Hold on Search. I ran home checking my dad was still out fishing for the rider and walked over to see what the dragon rider was doing. And I was Searched." Selene smiles faintly, "I saw the dragon speak to his rider and he came over to me. So he took me away and my father still doesn't know about it." You smile, "Still, there's the question of if one of the dragons is yours." She nods. Reyna jumps up and says, "I've got to get back, call when you need to go back," and with that she leaves. "Do you want some Klah? I'll make some so feel free to make yourself at home," Selene says. You nod as she leaves the room. You pick up a book that says, 'Thought of the Weyr' you pick it up and read it.
Day 1: He's done it. I'll never by a dragon-rider unless I am rid of him. He won't let be be a rider. I don't know why. For goodness sake I'm a HAD! I belong in the Weyr, even if not a rider. But nothing'll change his mind. Nothing. I don't know why I bother.
Day 2: I just heard. A Weyr's out on search for candidates to Impress their latest clutch. Maybe I can escape to be Searched. But my Dad knows and I doubt I'll be able to even catch a glimpse of wings.
Day 3: I knew it. I'm stuck at home for the duriation of the rider's visit. Maybe I can get out tomorrow for a job. Maybe. Or else he'll lock me in whilst he goes fishing. But I saw the rider today at least. He said to his dragon, "There's a winner here. You know it, I know it and we must find them." Something like that. Maybe it's me.
Day 4: I escaped. He let me out to gather herbs and I ran to the where dragon-rider was, after being sure Dad was still fishing. And he took me. I wonder, will I Impress? I hope so. Dad doesn't have the slightest idea where I am probably. Eventually he'll find out and if the hatching hasn't occured, or I don't Impress, he'll take me away. Though from the impression I gat from the rider I can't leave the Weyr.
Day 5: So, I'm a candidate. But will I impress?...
The book breaks off. Day 5 must be today. Maybe it was when you came. Selene comes back with a cup of steaming Klah. You drink it before realising the time. Selena nods and calls Reyna and soon you are off and away, back to the main rooms.
