During March break Rising Sun 4-Hers got together and had a craft workshop where they learned how to do Tin Punch, taught by Laurie; and beeswax candles taught by Trixie. Even the leaders had fun ... so what else is new? |

March 20/21 Rendezvous 1998 was held at a hall in Bras d'Or which included members from all Clubs in Cape Breton -- there were several workshops given during this weekend. |
| County Rally was held at North Sydney on April 4 and the winners from there
went on to compete in Baddeck at the Regional 4-H Public
Speaking & Demonstration Rally on April 18, 1998 On Mother's Day weekend, Jennifer Morrison went to 4-H Weekend in Truro to represent Cape Breton Island in the Intermediate Public Speaking Competition where she placed third with her speech on "Racism" |
| Rising Sun's Achievement Day was held once again at Brookshaven Hall. It was fun although we lacked one of the original families of our club. The Esplin Family: Brenda, Brad and Allan moved to Alberta in July. They will be missed so much. Rising Sun was well represented at the Cape Breton County Exhibition as well as 4-H Provincial Show in 1998. |
