• When it came time to remodel Dumbo in 1990, imagineers decided, because of the poor state of the well-worn ride, to import a new version of the ride built for the impending opening of Euro Disneyland. Euro Disneyland did not need the ride yet for installation in Paris so it was shipped to Anaheim. Another version was then built for the park in Europe.

• This Fantasyland Theatre is actually the second in Disneyland. The original Fantasyland Theater was located where Pinocchio's Daring Journey is now. It closed forever in 1981 for the renovation of Fantasyland.
• The current Fantasyland Theatre was originally called Videopolis. Videopolis first opened in 1985 in a space next to It's a Small World as a teen disco with a dance floor and video screens. Seats were later added to make it an outdoor theater for stage shows based on Disney films like "Beauty and the Beast" and "Pocahontas." It was renamed "Fantasyland Theatre" on April 12, 1992. In 1998, it was remodeled to include a tent covering to provide shade. (Disney A to Z)

• For the creation of the carousel, Walt Disney bought an old 1875 Dentzel Carrousel from a Toronto Amusement park and supplemented it with Murphy horses from another carousel at Coney Island. (Disney A to Z)
• In this composite carousel, he wanted only horses, so the other animals were removed. Disney also wanted all the horses to leap, so the legs from the horses that originally stood were broken and reset to the proper-looking configuration. (Ibid)

• The tea cups were once situated in the middle of Fantasyland above the carousel. The ride was moved during the renovation of the land in 1982-83 to alleviate crowds. It was relocated to it current location in front of the Alice in Wonderland dark ride.
