new orleans square restaurants
blue bayou
location
Around the corner from Pirates: on your left as you exit the ride. It actually is contained within the ride itself - you can watch guests floating through the Bayou from your table.
cuisine
Gourmet food (and suitably high prices). Most of the cuisine has a cajun flare.
comments
Not really a place to go if you're visiting Disneyland for the first time. And the kids might be a little restless to be stuck inside when fun is to be had out in the park. The atmosphere, though, is outstanding.
french market restaurant
location
Near the New Orleans Square railroad station - across from the Haunted Mansion.
cuisine
More New Orleans-style food - jambalaya, stew, fried chicken. Cafeteria style service but your entree is made in front of you.
comments
One of my favorite places in the park to eat. The food is great and you can sit outside and listen to jazz. Oftentimes, there's a live band performing there.
cafe orleans
location
At the end of the second block of shops. Facing out on the Rivers of America.
cuisine
More cafeteria service food. Similar cuisine to the French Market.
comments
Not as nice as the French Market and there's no live bands. The cafeteria inside is sorta cramped too. It's open seasonally.
la petite patisserie
location
Hidden inside New Orleans Square in the second block of shops.
cuisine
Funnel cakes, pastries, coffee.
comments
A nice "hidden treasure" of Disneyland.
mint julep bar
location
Around the back of the French Market Restaurant, facing the train station.
cuisine
Mint juleps, coffee, soft drinks, pastries.
comments
I'm not a big mint julep fan but if you want a taste of the South, you should go here.
royal street veranda
location
Underneath the stairs leading up to the Disney Gallery. Next to the line for Pirates.
cuisine
Bread bowls with chowder or gumbo.
comments
Not a huge chowder fan either but I love soup in bread bowls. If you do too, and want a quick meal then stop by here.
