We are now in the top floor of the Watchtower. It gave the Castle garrison early warning of impending attacks.

The larger windows which are clearly visible were installed by Lady Anne Clifford who restored the castle after the top of the walls were knocked down. The old type of windows were much smaller as they were used as arrow slits to defend the castle.
