The Witchy Writer

In this lifetime, one of the greatest gifts given to me by the Goddess is the gift of words. I consider myself to be an novelist, a screenwriter, and a playwrite. I enjoy all kinds of writing. Basically, I write everything but cookbooks. A few people have asked me if I will write any witchy books. Perhaps. My new and different "witchy" ideas have come to me in the form of screenplays. I have no intent on treading on the heels of Gerina Dunwich, Janet and Stewart Ferrar, or Silver Ravenwolf. These are teachers I truly admire.
So here I will share some suggestions, spells and thoughts on being a writer. I have a passion for the craft, writing that is! Want to know more stuff about me as a writer, click here! Otherwise, read on for information for the writer in all of us.

The best time to write is when the moon is WAXING, meaning the period between the new moon as it grows into the full moon. The waxing moon is an excellent time for gain, including ideas and getting over writer's block. The best time for editing is when the moon is WANING, as it grows smaller from the full moon to the new.
This truly works. I completed a 200+ book in a 2 week period from new moon to full.

This is a writing spell I've shared, so any other writers are free to use it. It works! I always keep a yellow stone by my computer just in case...yellow stones bring words.

A yellow stone
Sandalwood
Dragon's Blood

Tie it all together in a small pouch, preferably of white material and tied with a yellow string.
Say this small prayer: "Elements of the earth, make the words come. Flow into place, and this (story, script, paper, etc.) shall be done!"

How about some great Yahoo! Clubs?

May I suggest: Wiccan Writers , Pagan Poets Society , or Creative Writing Critique Center .
