Meet Shorty, the mascot from Avon Lake, OH!

In Mrs. Blankenship's class we have 24 children. We go to school all day. We live in Avon Lake, Ohio, which is in the northern part of the state. We live very close to water, it is called Lake Erie. The lake is about 1/2 mile from our school. Our mascot is called Shorty. (Shorty is the same name as our high school mascot for we are the Shoregals and Shoremen). Shorty has a life vest and swimsuit on. We chose him because many of us use the lake for boating, fishing, and swimming. We also live very close to Cleveland (about 20 minutes from us). Many of us follow the Cleveland Indians baseball team and the Cleveland Browns football team. Our classroom has fun toys in it. We have pretty decorations. We know your mascot will have fun when it visits.
