'The Hobbit' - Book Report

by Fabian Crothers

The Hobbit is an adventure story set in a fantasy land called Middle Earth. It was written by J.R. Tolkien who also wrote "The Lord Of The Rings".

The main character is a creature called a hobbit whose name is Bilbo Baggins. He is visited one day by a wizard called Gandalf who arranges for Bilbo to become a burglar for a band of dwarves. The leader of the dwarves is Thorin who is taking them to get his treasure, kill the dragon and reclaim his kingdom.

They meet some evil creatures during their adventures on the way to the Lonely Mountain. They also meet some good creatures like Beorn, who can turn into a bear and Elrond the elf.

The scenery in the book was amazing, particularly when the dwarves and Gandalf went to Bilbo's house. I could actually hear and smell and see what was happening.

This book has many important lessons and morals to teach. This is the most important one: Being greedy can be dangerous and can make you lose your friends.

I really thought the book was fantastic and many people will love this story. The book is very long and I forgot parts of the first chapters so I would like to read it again one day and I can recommend it to other readers.
