Barney is a lovable purple dinosaur who comes to life through children's imaginations. He is a playmate to an ethnically diverse cast of eight children who, with Barney's help, demonstrates early learning skills in language and fine arts, science, mathematics, physical education and social studies.
Triceratops lived 85 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. They were plant eater that lived in the regions of North America and Canada. Triceratops were characterized by a large skull, a bony frill at the back of the skull which protected the neck and served to anchor powerful jaw and neck muscles, and three horns-one centrally located just above the nostrils and a pair that projected from the forehead. It was thought that the main predator of the Triceratops was the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The Protoceratops lived 97 million to 65 million years. They were plant eaters that lived in Mongolia and China. Protoceratops were about the size of a large dog, with a parrot like beak and a bony frill. The only major difference between Protoceratops and the closely related Triceratops is that Protoceratops did not have any horns. The main predator to the Protoceratops was the Veloceraptor - a small carnivores dinosaur about the same size as the Protoceratops.
Baby Bop, a green and purple triceratops who, with her yellow "blankey" in tow, is a forever-three-year-old.
Baby Bop's mischievous but lovable big brother BJ, a yellow protoceratops, wears red tennis shoes and a baseball cap, and helps introduce sibling-related concepts.
