Jurassic Period
At the beginning of this Period the Earth's continets were still jammed together, forming the "supercontinent Pangaea, but they were starting to drift apart. The climate was hot & dry at the beginning of this period, strongly seasonal.

There was no polar ice during the last 2/3rd of the Jurassic Period. The climate was warm & moist & the sea levels high. There were vast flooded areas, temperate & subtropical forests & coral reefs.
