Bats have membrane on their arms and bats are an endangered species. They fly 50 kilometres an hour. They eat fruit.

On Wednesday at the zoo we saw the fruit eating bat. One was climbing the wire and there were birds in the cage as well. They had trees and leaves to hang upside down on. There were two bats the same and they were black and brown. I spent all day at the zoo and it was fun.

Chloe.

We saw the Australian bats and the keeper was feeding them bananas. They were fruit bats. New Zealand has long tailed and short tailed bats.

We went to the zoo. We saw Australian bats. The zoo keeper fed the bats bananas and apple.

We went to the zoo and I saw the bats in a cage.

We went to the zoo and we went to see the bats and there were two bats. They were fruit eating bats. They came from Australia. I liked the Zulu huts. When we were at the zoo we went on this thing. I liked it. It was a log walk.

I saw a bat being fed at the zoo. I spent all day at the zoo. The bat was black and brown. The bat was hanging upside down. The zoo keeper fed the bat half a banana.

Bats are mamals. There is the Short Tailed Bat and the Long Tailed Bat in New Zealand. Wild cats eat bats and Moreporks eat bats.

Glenn.

New Zealand bats have short tails and long tails. Australian fruit bats were on the trees and the wire at the Auckland Zoo and the zoo keeper feeds the bats fruit. Bats have membrane in between their wings. Bats have echolocation and they can see at night.

When the whole school was at camp we went to the zoo and we saw the bats. I saw one bat eat an apple and there were birds in there too.

We went to the zoo and we saw the bats. They were brown and black. The keeper fed the bats banana. The cage was made from wire and there were trees and weeds. One bat was climbing up the cage. Room Three had a look at the bats.

When we went to the Auckland Zoo we saw two bats. They were Australian Fruit Bats. They were in a big cage and one was on the wire. In the cage there were trees and leaves. The bats were black and brown and Room Three saw them.
