We thought about all the things that make Hikutaia a special place.

There is a hotel where you can get cold drinks and fish and chips.

The Hikutaia Store sells iceblocks, lollies, lunches, chips and chocolates.

There is a Hikutaia Hall. Santa comes to the hall. There are dances at the hall and you can play squash there.

There are two churches in Hikutaia. You go to them for weddings and funerals and you sing songs.

There is a Bed and Breakfast place in Hikutaia.

There is an Engineering Works in Hikutaia.

Hikutaia is a little country village between two small towns and its school has a class called Room Three. They are the best kids on Planet earth!

In our school we have a school pool and we go swimming and it is cool at our school.There are heaps of trees and big fields.We have a fun day. That is the day for hot cross buns.

The whole school makes hot cross buns.

Kids can go down to the river bank and play in the holes and leaves.You can swim in the Maratoto river in the summer when it is real hot.

Our school is special because we have a pool.We have cross country. It means we run a course on a farm and people get ribbons when they get a place.
