Hello Greenie's Class,
This is a Goodbye, Happy Holiday Letter!
An Enormous Thank you for writing to us. It was
fantastic to get your letters. We have learnt heaps of stuff about
Chicago.
Here are the answers to some of the questions you
asked in your letters this week.
Cross Country:
This is a running course not a ski course. The course was set out on
a farm. The whole school walked over to the farm. There were races
for all age groups. We went up hills and down hills. We jumped over
hay bales and looked out for cow poops! It was a fun day!
Diggers: A
digger is a machine that comes and digs the drains. It has a bucket
on the front.
Coming to
School. Kids come to school by car, by bus, by bikes or by walking.
No one comes in a yellow jeep!
Pigs.In New
Zealand some pigs are wild and some pigs are tame. You go hunting
wild pigs in the bush. You take a gun, a knife and pig dogs. We like
eating roast pork. We all like the crackling.
Bagels: They
are are delicious. We love them!
Floating and
Sinking: We think we might try floating a pumkin in water. Some
children think it will sink and and some of us think it will
float.
Michael Jordan:
Yes, we have heard about him. He is a really good basketball player.
Favourite
Buildings: Our favourite building is Sky Tower in Auckland. We saw it
when we went on camp.It has lots of lights round it and there's one
red light on the top.
Behind the
Cows! Sometimes when farmers round up the cows to take them to the
cow shed for milking they use the farm bikes. That's what Ashley was
doing "Behind the Cows"
