ABOUT THE TITLE


Le Clin d'oeil, the original title, means wink in French and was chosen to illustrate the affective link between teachers/students and learning. It is also a small tribute to Madame Irène Deraspe, my mentor in education, as my way of immortalizing her «Clin d'oeil».


For the English title I have chosen Tiddlywinks! simply because I like the sound and because it contains the word wink.

Do you remember the game? Snapping all those small coloured disks into a container? The satisfaction when they made it? The giggles when they landed in strange places?... Don't ask why, but somehow that reminds me of teaching...

And so, here is my collection of Tiddlywinks. I hope that for you they are useful, stimulating, and fun... a wink, a twinkle, and a snap !
