Materials
Moldable plastic: one red strip and one green strip, 1 1/2 x 7
inches each
One Valentine-print baking cup, 1 1/2 inch diameter
Brown or white dimensional squeeze paint
1-inch length of magnet strip, 1/2 inch wide
1. Place the strips of moldable plastic in warm water until they
are softened. Knead and mix the two strips together until they are
a uniform brown color. You may have to resoften the plastic a couple
of times to remove all the streaks of red and green. Roll the plastic
between your palms to form a smooth ball. Flatten one side of the
ball slightly by gently pushing it down onto your work surface. Allow
the plastic ball to set.
2.
Glue the flattened side of the ball into the bottom of the baking cup.
Glue the sides of the baking cup to the sides of the ball in three or four
places. Paint wavy lines across the top of the ball with the dimensional
squeeze paint; let dry.
3.
Glue the magnet strip to the bottom or back side of the baking cup.
