Materials:

A small cardboard box
*shoe boxes work great*
Rich soil
Watering can
Water
Seeds, or already grown flowers
Ruler

You will need an adult to help you with this! This is a big project, and requires attention all the time so be sure to ask a parent if it is okay before you begin!

Instructions:

1. Place your cardboard box outside in a sunny spot where no animals can bother it.

2. Fill up your box half way with rich soil.

3. Plant seeds 2-3 inches away from each other in the box. If you have already grown flowers, then you can place them in the box, 4-6 inches away from each other.

4. Water your seeds and plants every day. Make sure that no animals bother it, and make sure that your box is in a sunny spot. Get an adult to help you with your garden, and write down what happens every day in your Nature Notebook.
