The kids figure out that the Digmon Emperor is Ken when during the same soccer game Davis gave Ken a nice bruise. (Davis and Ken actualy become friends rihgt after the game) Later in the Digital World, while the Digimon Emperor is mocking the Digidestined's attemps to destroy the control spires, Davis notices the same bruise he gave Ken.
Ken unable to return to the real world because of the spread of his identity, decides to retain in the Digital world forever. [Episode 9 (SEP 16)]

Ken Ichijouji
Ken is a computer genius, in fact the first time the DigiDestened see him is on TV, because he won a computer programing award. He is also incredibly athletic. Davis actualy plays soccer against him in Episode 8 (SEP 8). Davis wins.
