The Mouse House Halloween Games!

Halloween Games

Bobbing for Apples

This is an old game, but fun! It is very challenging though! Okay, this is what you do. You need a large (I mean large!) bowl, pan, washtub, container...something that you could fit a couple faces into. Then, you fill it up about 3/4's full of water. Then, put apples in the tub. Then what you have to do, is remove an apple from the tub without using your hands! It's messy, fun, and you will probably get wet, but most likely, you will find it fun, and enjoyable!

Pushing the Peanut!

Give each person/racer a toothpick and a peanut (in the shell). What they do is they use the toothpick to push and roll the peanut from the starting line to the finish line. This can be played on the floor or on a table. On the floor or carpet, you can mark the starting and finish lines with masking tape. On a table just go from one end to the other. You can also do relays like this too.

Words in a word

What you do is give each person and pencil and paper. Then everybody writes down the same word or phrase. Like Happy Halloween. Then for 2 mintues, you have to see who can come up with the most words using only the letters in Happy Halloween. Like I could use "hall" for one...

Reverse Trick - or Treat

Give each of the players a bag with 10 pieces of wrapped candy in it. have the players write their names on their bags so that the bags don't get mixed up. Decide on a time limit. If you are having a party, you could keep the game going the entire time, even while you are doing other things. The object of the game is to get people to say these words :

HALLOWEEN, CANDY, WITCH, PARTY, GHOST, PUMPKIN

It's helpful to write the words in large letters on a piece of paper and tape the paper up where everyone can see it. If you catch someone saying one of the words on the list, that person has to give you a piece of candy from their bag. The person who has the most candy at the end of the game wins a prize of some sort. And, do I really have to say, but everybody gets to keep their candy!

Ballons Everywhere!

What you do is you get a bunch of ballons. Figure around 2 ballons per person. Then, you just have to keep all of the balloons in the air. It's really fun, espically for kids.
