Jordan's JDMS Diary
Boy am I behind or what? Its already May and I've just now found time to update.
Jordan is doing great! This has been a great year for her. She made the volleyball team in the fall, played basketball in the winter and just ended with track. She didn't feel comfortable running so much, so she opted to be manager. She really enjoyed helping out her coaches at all the meets. She made student of the week three times which is really great as her middle school has about 1000 students.
She is now preparing for cheerleading. The girls that want to be cheerleader must have high grades and must get every teacher recommendation. She also wanted to be mascot (a Toro / bull for those of you not familiar with the term). She was supposed to try out against 4 other young ladies but 2 backed out. The mascot suit is extremely large for Jordan and it gets very hot so the sponsor recommended she and the other little girl share being mascot. They both agreed which sounded great to me. My other daughter had been mascot at the same middle school. She really had a great time putting together skits for the pep rallys. She usually needed an assistant so having 2 girls as mascot would probably a good idea every year. Jordan plans to meet with her partner throughout the summer and plan their skits.
We're so proud of Jordan. She keeps her sites on being as active as possible. She has made a complete turn around from 2 years ago. We thank God for taking care of her.
Thank you all for your prayers!
