Jordans JDMS Diary

Hello Everyone!

October was another good month for Jordan. She is now free of all pain of plantars warts. It took a while to get rid of them, but they are finally gone. Every last one!

Jordan's volleyball season ended with much too quickly. She enjoyed every minute of it and apparently her coaches knew it. She was selected "Outstanding Student for Girls Athletics" for the first nine weeks semester. She was honored with a luncheon with her principal at a popular restraunt. She received a certificate her picture was taken for the the year book. We are so proud of her.

Jordan also began taking gymnastics again. Her classes are every Wednesday for an hour and a half. Her coach taught both Jordan and Jennifer for many years. She knew about Jordan having JDMS and when she recently reopened her school, she asked Jordan to come to her classes. Jordan was a little leary, but her coach re-assured her that she would not have to do anything she didnt feel comfortable with. By her third lesson Jordan was doing back-bends, something she hasn't done since 1997. She also tried some cartwheels after seeing that some of her classmates hadn't perfected their cartwheel skills. She is very excited about being able to take the classes and we are too. We know that the stretching and exercise will be good for her.

October 10th, Jordan's IV treatment of Solumedrol was reduced again to 100mgs a week. Her lab work looks good and she is physically doing good. The only complaints we have presently is calcinosis on her elbows and arms. They arent bothering her much, but they dont look very good. Fortunately, she has not had any abrasions.

Please keep our JDMS children in your prayers.
