Jordan's JDMS Diary
Private Clinic Land Physical Therapy

Jordan began pool therapy in August, however, I haven't recorded the techniques she performed.

She will be having alternate land / pool therapy beginning 10/27 twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Wednesdays, J will be assisting her with land therapy at home. Tuesday - Friday she will be having PT for 20-30 minutes at school. She's going to be a very strong little girl!

Jordan is going to a private clinic for PT. The Pts have been varying her workouts so much that is difficult and time consuming to record everything she does. If anything major changes, I will make note of it here. Until then, you can assume she is doing the same types of exercise shown at last date.

Jordan's last day at Physcial Therapy at the private clinic was Jan 5, 1999. She has no noticable disabilities. Her posture is improving and she has none of the problems she had months ago like sitting and rising from the floor, putting on her own shoes and socks, washing her hair, etc. She can run, jump, ride a bike and do practically everything she wants to.

She continues to see a school PT twice a week plus an adaptive PE teacher once a week. She performs like most healthy children. The PT's and adaptive PE teacher allow her to go to regular PE under their supervision.

March 16, 1999 was the last time she had a PT visit her at school for therapy or supervision. She was released from PT services by Dr. C. She will attend regular PE classes and may perform anything she feels capable of with the ability to rest when needed. Her coaches and teachers will notify us and the adminstrator of any concerns if they should arise. She will be monitored periodically by a school PT over the next year.

PT assistant J has continued to come every other week for 1 hour to see Jordan. They have been spending more time goofing off than exercising but we will continue having her visits as long as possible simply because Jordans loves her so much.

Jordan has no fears! She feels confident in everything she does. She appears strong and seldom tires during her activities. She does need to be in bed by 9:00 p.m. to awake by 7:00 a.m. and have a full day. She appears to be as physically capable as any average girl her age.

March 24, 1999

We are so happy to have our little girl back! We have been so fortunate to have had such wonderful people working with Jordan. Thank You all for helping our baby regain not only her physical abilities and strength, but the confidence to be happy and healthy.
